Just a few months ago, a terrible famine was declared in the Horn of Africa. What started out as a drought quickly became a life-ending famine, one that people are still dying from every single day. About 13 million people are slowly starving to death in Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Uganda, and many of those are children. It’s estimated that almost 1 million people will die this year from hunger. 1 million people. And, to make matters even more heartbreaking: In Somalia, 1 child is dying from starvation every 6 minutes.

Here’s your chance to help save lives! A simple donation to our Global Giving fundraiser will help make a huge difference. The UN, OXFAM and Save the Children projects we have chosen will have a direct impact on families suffering from the famine. A donation of $10 will provide a family of 5 with clean water. $50 can help save a baby from dying. $100 will feed a family of 6 for several weeks. Every single donation will help make a difference!

• If you had made a donation before the giveaway launched, please leave a comment here. You do not have to donate again, unless you want to!
