4th of July Strawberries

Looking for a yummy, easy to make 4th of July treat?  These 4th of July chocolate-dipped strawberries only take a few minutes to make, and you only need a few ingredients to make them!  Simply dip the strawberries in white chocolate, and sprinkle the bottoms with blue sugar.  You’ll have a pretty red, white and blue dessert to wow your friends and family with…just don’t tell them how easy it was to make them!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries
  • White chocolate, melted
  • Blue sanding sugar*

Instructions:

Line a cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper, and set aside.

Pour the sugar into a small bowl, and set aside.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate in 30 second increments, stirring after every 30 seconds, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Take each strawberry, and dip it in the white chocolate, so that the chocolate covers all but the top third of the strawberry.  Quickly sprinkle the bottom third with the blue sugar.  Set the dipped strawberry on the lined cookie sheet.

Repeat with the other strawberries.

Refrigerate the dipped strawberries for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Enjoy, and Happy 4th of July!

Makes as many dipped strawberries as you want!

*You can find blue (red, white, yellow, etc.) sugar at most craft stores, including Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics, and Hobby Lobby.  They also sell it at Target, about $1 cheaper, and much more convenient!
